Online Giving
Q&A
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let
him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a
cheerful giver.” 2 Cor. 9:7 (KJV)
Q: How will online giving work?
A: The online giving service will allow you to deduct any
amount you specify directly from your checking account –
the same as if you wrote a check.
Q: Is this process safe?
A: Yes. The electronic payment is set up through a secure
service that protects your account information. These
transactions are governed by strict national rules and
guidelines. Over four billion electronic fund transfers are
processed in the United States each year.
Q: When would the contribution be deducted from my
account?
A: The fund transfer will take place on the date that you
specify on the signup screen. You may choose to make a one
time contribution or specify an automatic weekly, monthly
or other designated time frame transaction.
Q: Can I change the amount or time frame for
automatic transactions?
A: Yes. You may change the amount that you want to give and
the frequency of the transaction at any time.
Q: Can I give to the Masters Plan or to Missions as
well as my regular tithe?
A: Yes. You can choose to give to the Masters Plan and/or
Missions as well.
Q: What are the benefits of giving online?
A: 1. This allows you to prioritize giving as the first
fruits of your income.
2. You can strengthen your faithfulness by giving
regularly. You don’t have to worry about forgetting your
gift or falling behind when you are traveling.
3. It helps your church in processing your gift.
Q: Can I use my credit card?
A: No. We chose to take the time to set up online giving
through electronic funds transfers rather than credit
cards.
